REGGAE!
How was Reggae developed.?
Reggae is a form of ska , mento, and R&B music in the 1960s. Reggae is a mixture of ska and rocksteady. Reggae was made by the “Organ Shuffle” by Bunny Lee, “Say what you’re saying” by Clancy Eccles, and “People Funny Boy” Lee “scratch” Perry.

Reggae is African music and rhythm and blues, or early rock and roll.
Reggae songs are usually about social issues, politics, and the Rastafarian religion which, is an African religion that many Jamaicans follow.

Get Up Stand Up:
Gullah is a form of call and response music from the time of slavery.
Africans were brought over from Madagascar and Angola to around south-east USA to grow rice. Angola was shortened to Gola(Gullah). That is where the term comes from.
Gullah music is mostly vocals along with hand clapping, foot stomping, walking sticks, and shakers.
The following website gives really good examples of Gullah music. Click on the link and check it out!
